Gsr swap in and driveable but I need help NO POWER
Ok I just got my car put together. Haven't put the intake pipe on yet as I haven't gotten one but I doubt it could make this big of an issue.
Car starts and idles fine.
Whe revving the motor it's slow reacting
when driving it feels like it's running on two cylinders, Literally NO power.
When testing it it's got fuel to each cylinder and spark on each cylinder
It's a b18c1 gsr with a skunk2 intake mani in a 00 civic ex, Using the EX wiring harness and obd2b-obd1 conversion harness. P28 ECU with a basemap for a type R (I know not correct but it should still run the thing)
Ok so the dizzy plug wouldn't plug up so I did what I always do and changed all the internals over from the ex dizzy into the gsr dizzy but kept the gears and stuff from the gsr. It's always worked before and looks cleaner than splicing all the wires. Anyone ever done this and it NOT work?
I am at a loss now. It's open header with no intake so I know that could cause some issues but nothing like this. I don't want to dump money into it getting everything tied up like the exhaust and all until I get this figured out.
Thanks for all of your iput and if I left anything out that you need to know just ask.
Thanks

Re: Gsr swap in and driveable but I need help NO POWER
Thanks after taking a shower I'm thinking maybe the Guy who I got the motor from has the timing belt on wrong maybe like 1 tooth off? Its got to be timing I think. It had a couple ce-lights and I got all that fixed. Ill check dizzy and timing tomorrow. I need a break from this car. Been working on it for 20hrs straight with no sleep.

Re: Gsr swap in and driveable but I need help NO POWER
Ok I can't run the car now beause it has not exhaust and I can't wake anyone up so I did find that the knock sensor was broken off but still plugged in. I would think that as long as it's not hearing a knock it wouldn't affect anything but I have been known to be wrong. Could this cause the issue? Still haven't been able to get into checking the timing. I will be doing all of that tomorrow after work.

Re: Gsr swap in and driveable but I need help NO POWER
Ok finally got this thing running good. It was in fact the timing but even after 5 tries I couldn't get it right so after inspecting the cam gears I realized they were marked wrong and got some old AEM gears and used them to line the gears up and bam. The car runs like a champ now. Just a slight idle issue but I will work on that tomorrow.

Make sure you replace that knock sensor. When i bought my gsr it had a broken one too. It is cheap insurance. You can find one on ebay for cheap or get one at autozone for $100
