Default GSR Problems

i am having a problem with my gsr shittin out on me. sometimes it will hit like a govenor or somethin at lik 6 grand. the rev limiter is set at 8K right now. it is a 1998 JDM GSR in a 93 Hatch with a VAFC, Comptech Intake and Header, Tanabe Exhaust, and AEM Fuel Rail and Regulator. it only does it evey once in a while but last night it made me lose a race because it just shit out and stopped goin at 6K. someone let me know wtf is goin on with it.

....how can we tell you anything without a year, mods, and any other information a little more specific than "shit out"?

it sounds like the VTEC is not engaging, do you hear it switch into vtec around 4400? if not then that is why you are losing power at high RPM. You might want to check and make sure everything is cool with your oil pressure.

i checked all the wires on the vafc and they are good. VTEC is kickin fine it just hits the rev limiter at 6500 in 3rd 4th and 5th. it only does it ocassionally but never in 1st or 2nd gear. i talked to my buddy and he said that it may be a glitch in the ECU? someone let me know.
