Gsr ecu in a ls?
I just bought a 95 integra ls with a gsr computer. The motor is semi built so he out the gsr ecu in it so it would rev higher and he said thats why the engine light is on. I havent had time to look into it and actually see what codes its throwing but does this sound legit? Do people do that? Any help would be great, im just kinda curious

Re: Gsr ecu in a ls?
It is probably throwing codes for:
Vtec
Secondary butterflys
Knock sensor
and who knows what else.
I would not rev a LS to 7500+, esp on GSR timing/fuel maps.

Re: Gsr ecu in a ls?
The GSR ECU can be chipped to run an LS program, but you'd be better off trading someone for an LS ECU and some cash. The GSR ECU is worth roughly twice as much (street value) as an LS ECU..
Or you could throw a VTEC head/intake manifold on it and get the ECU chipped to disable the knock sensor (and be able to be tuned!).
