Default Getting a transmission re-built

Where is a good place to get an automatic transmission re-built near the Chesapeake area?

I have a 99 eclipse spyder 2.4L non-turbo.

Thanks,

Joe

do you have an emotional attachment to that transmission? because honestly, it would be cheaper to just buy a used/new one and install it yourself.

Amusing you will have someone take it out for you TO have rebuilt it rebuilt there is no logical reason why it would be a problem having whoever takes it out put new one in...
You'll be paying out the ass for a rebuilt unit, used eclipse trannys are cheap i am sure you can pick one up for several hundred bucks ESPECIALLY the 2.4 since its so much more common

Well if I got a used one I would want a warranty or some sort of guarantee that it's not going to crap out on me after a 1,000 miles.
Do you know where I could get one?

http://car-part.com/

i am sure it will give you a bunch of local junk yards such as BG in Chesapeake and maybe more. most places give you 30 day warranty. just sort by location. or search for local salvage yards in yellow pages
