a fucking pop in my steering
usually when parked and turning the wheel, i will hear a loud pop coming from something in my steering setup of my cd5. the guys at hondasociety were of no help, could someone explain what this is and maybe how to fix it please? it's very unnerving and not a pleasant sound

What is a CD5? More information on the car in question, Year make and Model please...

1. jack the front of your car up.
2. put you hands on the left and right side of your tire and see if there is play in it.
3. do the other side.
4. you are checking your tie rods which is probably what is popping.

could also be a cv joint or, i could be something as simple as your plastic ignition cover.... try taking the cover of from around the ignition and see if it does it still...(mine does it ever since i put the damn thing back on...

yeah its a 94 accord ex, sorry. i'll check for the play you speak of. i recently replaced the outer ties with some no-name egay crap, and left the inners. could the ignition cover really do that? i'll play with that too, but it sounds like an odd fix. thanks for the help guys
