friends 94 integra runs hot
hey whats going on yall,
my friend here has a 94 integra,
and he says his engine keep running hot,
he said he has checked anti-freeze/water in the radiator, which is good.
he said he just replaced the fan motor,
and he said he has frehon---sorry if i speeled it wrong...
whats wrong with this dudes car?

start small. check the thermostat, the coolant temp sensor, check the fan relays/fuses
if all are good or if you replace them all and the problem is still there.
do a compression or a leak down test and see if and where the car may be leaking/burning coolant at headgasket might not show an external leak but could verywell leak into the cylinder and get burnt thus burning up all the coolant and making the car run on nothing but air = overheat.
but like i said start small and hope its not the head gasket

another problem could be the water pump. My old civic had a overheating problem and i took the thermastat out, then replaced the radiator cap, the sensors, hoses, heater hoses, radiator, finally timing belt and water pump. but to my disgust my oil pump went out 2 weeks after changing the water pump and timing belt and i spun a rod bearing......

if the radiator isn't leaking, and still holds coolant.
coolant levels are okay. sounds like thermostat to
me. hondas thermostats aren't worth shit. should
be an easy fix.
go buy a thermostat from the dealer 30-50 bucks.
disconnect upper radiator hose not on the radiator
side but the engine side. should be a few 10mm
bolts holding the thermostat w/ a few hoses. take
it out, put the new thermo in. refasten hoses and
bolts, refasten upper hose.
and you should be good. well if the thermostats fucked
at least.
