Default fitting carbon fiber hood on 240sx

has any one else had any problems with fitment. i ordered a vis cf drift hood. its all bolted up but it wont latch. i marked the hood release latch with white grease pen to see if its getting hung up on the hood, i grinded accordingly and still nothing. im pissed off and i just walked away from it for the night. any suggestions before i start hitting it with a hammer

Try to take off the whole hood latch assembly. Once it’s off drill the holes to make the assembly adjustable. Then when you put the assembly back on you just lift up on the hood latch and tighten the bolts.

i dont see how thats going to work. the catch on the hood does not come off. the u shape latch is falling into the metal latch assembly, but not grabbing when i apply force. im not trying to break the hood, but now that i think about it i had to press down on my metal hood right hard. is there a way to loosen up the aasembly so its not so tight.

Wouldn't it be nice if cheap carbon parts fit the way they're supposed to?

VIS is actually a very good company, with awesome fitment. You're problem isn't with the hood, it's with your hood latch. Just keep messing with it, and I'm pretty sure the holes for the latch are beveled out so you can adjust it.
