Re: F22 Build
Custom Turbo, Nitrous intercooler sprayer, vac controller, thats about it for the engine. It being built right now, and I was reading on the motor.
In an older issue of Sport Compact Car, they built
an F22 and JUST FROM INTERNALS they got over 350 hp!!! Im stoked about
reching that number, and THEN boosting it.
The block is REALLY strong
and with proper building you could boost 20+psi all day.

Re: F22 Build
I have a f22b1 VTEC in my Accord, and it runs great. They are very strong engines. But from what i hear, Boosting a SOHC just doesnt work that great. Anyway, If u can do it man, do it cause u dont hear much about people keeping a f22 in ANY honda longer then they have to lol.

Re: F22 Build
there are people on HT that have hit 300 on stock internals. what kinda of power do you really expect to get out of an F22? and as far as SOHC not taking well to boost WTF? D16Y-Z motors love boost. B series motors respond better to boost because their heads flow better stock than SOHC heads. But with a cam and some PnP a SOHC head will flow jsut as well as a DOHC. And just about anything will handle boost better than an H22. most F22-t's last ALOT longer than an H22-T.
do a good turbo kit, injectors, management and internals and shoot for a good 300fwhp. any more than that and you'll nead alot of head and valve work.
and no one gets above 200whp on a N/A F22. not unless you run it to within an inch of it's life. and at that point if you attempted to boost it you'd be buying a new motor.

Re: F22 Build
Yeah, the head is getting some serious PnP work done, the valves are being replaced, EVERYTHING. You name it, that motor is getting it.
Im crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
You say "and no one gets above 200whp on a N/A F22. not unless you run it to within an inch of it's life. and at that point if you attempted to boost it you'd be buying a new motor."
How about the Spot Compact Issue were they built a NA F22 and got 364hp!?
Oh well, if it blows up, it blows up.
If it works and kicks ass, it works!
