F20B Del Sol CEL light

I've got a 93 Del Sol with an F20B in it. Two months ago it broke down on me and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it until I took the distributor apart and found out it was filled with oil. I cleaned it out and replace the rotor button and cap. It started right up but two weeks after it started sputtering and wouldn't go any higher than 3k rpms and I got a CEL of 1&9. I know the O2 sensor wouldn't be the problem and a friend of mine told me the cylinder positioning sensor was in the distributor so I replaced the distributor with one off a JDM H22 and now it won't start up and I still get the same CEL. Can anybody tell me what they recommend for me to do?
I've checked all my wires that run to the distributor and it all seems fine...... PLEASE HELP!!!
