Default external vtec switch?

I'm still working on my d16z6 swap into a 93 dx. I'm using the dx ecu and harness and I need to know how to run an external vtec wire to a switch inside the car(and is this possible?) Thanks, in advance.

Oh wow....I can't see why you would do this. If you had no way to make the ECU control it, then why not make it a WOT switch so it's engaged as long as you are full-throttle and not on the rest of the time.

Not like it's going to make a damn bit of difference, but hey if it makes you feel better.

You can make a trigger for your vtec out of a shift light. Haha. Its the funniest shit.

You could just chip you ECU and add vtec to it. I would recomend doing that that what you are trying to do.

You could use an RPM activated switch... but for the cost and work, I would just get the ECU chipped or get a different ECU. You also need to consider the additional fuel requirement when you engine is in VTEC. Good Luck.
