i got a 97 civic ex and i have stock exhaust except for a dc header.....someone told me that between the cat and the resanator is 2 1/4 pipes?? is this true?? and will a after market hi flow cat fit on a stock exhaust system with just a header?? or should i jsut gut my stock cat?? anything will be appreciated...thankx ppl

gutting your cat will free some flow up, but a test pipe will keep flow consistant for good power gains.

the stock piping is not 2.25". try 1.5"
