Engine Identification Help Please

4 Attachment(s)
What's up fellas? I found a Honda motor for sale cheap, but I'm not a Honda guy and and have no idea what this motor is worth and what vehicles it fits. The only reason I would buy it would be to sell it for profit. Any insight on the engine type and approximate value would be much appreciated.

Also unfortunately these are the only pics I have and the seller did not snap a pic of the engine identification plate.

Thanks!

Regardless of what it is, it looks pretty incomplete and not in the best shape, so I would very carefully consider whether you can make any profit from it as a flipper. Like any engine that looks like that from pictures, you have to be prepared to supply a lot of parts, replace some of the ones that are included, and maybe replace the entire rotating assembly. The engine looks severely neglected and is laying on its side, so there's the possibility of block or head cracks or other damage also.

Unless you can get this for free (or very close), I wouldn't think it's a good gamble unless you have piles of parts kicking around to donate or could write it off with a destroyed block.

If it helps, I know it's not a B16 from a 99-00 Si. The casting webs and bosses on the back of the manifold aren't correct.

im gonna say that it is an ls/vtec conversion with a gsr head and an aftermarket intake manifold(prob cheap and shitty the way that intake sensor is welded in

kinda hard to trust someones build thats just sitting there like that with no valuable information. if the guy knows nothing about the condition of the motor i personally wouldnt give him more than 300

its a b16 or itr head. water neck is near the back of the head unlike gsr which is closer to the front.
