i got a p28 ecu i need it changed from auto to 5speed anyone noe how to do it

was that a joke or are you guys serious...? i thought it didn't matter if it was auto or 5spd it should still work?

It doesn't need to be chipped, it just has to have 2 jumpers moved around inside. It's a couple minute job with a soldering iron. Anyone that does chipping will already be very familiar with what to do, and will do it without chipping it. The program inside will work for a manual transmission without any changes.

.... because NOT all P28's are OBD1..... the latter DelSol's were equipped with OBD2 P28.

thanks for clearing that up, damn wait why do i care i dont own one! jk i was just wondering b/c a friend of mine was running an auto ecu on a 5spd car and it had no issues (except for having to disconnect the reverse lights to make vtec work? no lie seriously)

Yup. I would get someone who has done this before as you could very much screw something up easily. Not very hard to do though.

you will probably find better results on Honda-tech.com, I did one before and I remember it wasnt hard at all
