Default drivers side axle question.

blew a relatively new axle on the drivers side. 89 civic with b16. but i was wondering if I could replace it without draining the trans axle since its the end connected to the half shaft. thanks

well when you pull it out you are going to lose fluid no matter what. the best thing to do is plug the hole as soon as you pull out the axle. find something like a dixie cup to shove in the tranny when you pull out the axle.
