Default driver power window question

just picked up a 1996 civic ex coupe for a daily driver and the driver window wont go down i took the door panel off and plugged a new motor in to see if maybe the motor in the car is bad and that didnt work then tried a different switch that didnt work so i checked the fuse its ok any suggestions also the driver switch will allow the passenger window to go down just not the driver only thing i can think is a wire issue somewhere but feel free to let me know if i might have forgot to check something else any help would be appreciated

it most likely has a broken wire in the door jamb...from all the years of opening and closing...

open the door and slide back the rubber boot and you can unplug the door harness and remove the boot completely so you can look at the wires

Just jump a positive wire from the pass switch to the.driver switch on the driver door.. Screw finding the sshort.could be anywhere.from under dash to inside the door.should fix your issue a lot quicker this way.

Remove window
Install net (a la NASCAR)
Weld door shut
Always enter door through window
Profit

Either op was gonna run a new wire. Fix short or use a jumper wire from another lead.its a DD not a project car or show car so more than likely. Like
Most people on here he gonna go the cheapest and easiest way. Otherwise he would alrdy be at a shop..

BTW he wanted any help which he had more than one option.up to op. To do what he wants. I was just given him a answer out of the box. Not all people have the right tools.

It's most likely not a short, it's most likely an open circuit or bad connection. You need to start troubleshooting with a multimeter. If you don't have one, go buy one. Even a really cheap one will work perfectly fine for doing simple electrical work like this.
