Re: doin a poor mans type r

you shouldnt have to get it tuned, if you are using all oem shit...

but if you throw a chip, or a vafc or whatever piggyback you want to use, then you will need it tuned.

PM uselesryder1 shawn, he just finished his setup, im not sure what hes using but i know he has a b16 head ona gsr block

good luck

ps. i would use a jdm GSR ecu, or a itr mapped ecu, fuck it get hondata

Re: doin a poor mans type r

you need WAY more sheit for poormans type r. internals for 1. my old setup was b18c1 block and b17 head. its str8 but its no poormans type r.

Re: doin a poor mans type r

You should also do the b16a2 pistons, that will get your numbers up, and a new intake manifold, valve springs/retainers, cams, for a good start. Depends on how much money you have to waste. Also get k series bearings while your there, obviously do the timing belt, pumps, fuel filter, ect.

Re: doin a poor mans type r

you'll have a lower comp than a stock gsr if you don't change out pistons.
i'd run a stock itr ecu and thats the bare min.

and watch this one go BOOM

yo bitch hit me up and let me know what the time frame is like, i'll stop buy
by the way i've got an intake manifold for you but you just need to get this bitch running for now, just use the stock E.C.U. damnit either way it will be faster then that damn b16 you bought

I would def get hondata if your gonna change out the pistons, you will NEED to tune it.
