does anyone know how to do a 5spd swap?
my friend is about to buy a 93 civic hb. but its automatic. he wants to swap it to either 5 spd or 6 spd, but neither him or i know how to and my "mechanic" is away for a while. soooo, can anybody do this for him?? if so, what would he need? how much do think it will be?? and how much would you charge to do it??

He'll need the pedal assembly, master cylinder, slave cylinder, clutch lines(either stock hard lines or flexible steel braided lines), transmission, shift linkage w/shift knob, flywheel(with the proper bolts), clutch(with it's proper bolts), manual transmission axles, half shaft(aka intermediate shaft), brake fluid. If you want the interior pieces to match, you'll need a cluster and shift boot.

Its a fucking civic. just find a manual one, its not worth the money/hassle. Especially if you don't no how to do it.

Go to honda-tech and look it up, there is a walkthrough over there, and the cost of all the parts is not worth it.
Just go buy a manual civic like stated before.

or he can put a cable trans in it and all he would have to do is get the clutch pedal for cable trans and a cable, shift linkage

Hey I just realized I have everything that you would need to do this swap, besides the tranny and shift linkage. If you want it I will sell it to you cheap.
