Default Do SR20's "learn" boost

I just turned my boost up to around 11psi from stock. It seems fine to me but my friends in WRX's told me my car isnt as fast as it was before the boost upping. Before i was pulling on them on them but now it seems slower or equally as fast as stock psi. I was just wondering if the ecu has to learn the new boost change in order to get the full effect. Engine is a s13 blacktop, e5 ecu.

Do you have the stock fuel pump, etc? You may not be getting enough fuel or may have something else that is not up to the task of higher boost. Also, try unplugging the ECU or pulling the ECU fuse for an hour or so, the ECU will reset it's memory. It doesn't "learn" boost but it does store settings based on common parameters so it is more efficient..

^^^ thats my idea to. just unhook the positive on the bat an the neg. hit them together. that will reset you ecu.

im also running pretty rich from what i can tell (high pressure fuel pump). smells of gas at first startup during idle. im getting it tuned soon, so that might fix it.

i have an safc2 installed now but i need a wideband system before i go at it. but i serious have no idea what to tune to. does anyone know what the optimum air fuel ratio is? ive been reading up and 11.5:1 seems right as that magical number came up a lot. is 11.5:1 supposed to be during all rpm ranges or just at high rpm's?

i'm pretty sure that the perfect a/f ratio is 14.7:1 but i dont know how it differs throughout the rpm range
