Del Sol shut off
I have a 93 Honda Del Sol S with aprroximately 235,000 miles....motor never has given me a problem until it sat for two weeks while i replaced the rack and pinion tie rods axel wheel hub bearing rotor cap and button. After that was fixed the alternator had locked up...replaced that and then drove about 2 miles and the motor just shut off. I still have battery power, it turns over and i know i have spark from diagnosing the rotor button and cap...anybody have any ideas on what this could be?

Re: Del Sol shut off
Have you confirmed you have fuel?Have you confirmed spark since it died?
Any trouble codes?Go back and double check over everything you've just done to the engine as far as connectors being securely plugged in,etc.

yes double check that you have spark. I have seen many people not tighten the screw for the rotor button enough and it comes loose causing the rotor button to either not spin or damage the distributor internals.

Re: Del Sol shut off
It's not the most likely culprit.Usually on these cars when the fuel filter is getting restricted they'll gradually get harder to start and possibly have a stumble when running, not just quit running all of a sudden and not restart.
