Default Degreased engine, now have CEL

I sprayed some engine degreaser onto my transmission and the block of my motor. I was careful to keep it away from the sensors and distributor. Then I rinsed the the degreaser off carefully again to keep as much away from the above mentioned parts. Obviously there was some splashing and so forth and some of the sensors got a little wet. When I started the car after letting it sit for about ten minutes, I now have a check engine light on. Could this be from moisture in the sensors?

only 96 and newer would be obd-2. I dont see why they wouldnt have a tool for obd-1 cars either. I disconnected all the sensors in question and blew them out with an air nozzle, but the light stayed on. Guess Ill find out tomorrow.

wow man, obd-1 cars have a led light that blinks the code at you. They even were so nice to put a clear plastic window over it so you can see it.

Why the would fuck would I wanna jump harnesses when I could use the proper tool and just read the code on a scan tool. I wasnt asking how to read the code, I was asking, like I stated in the second post if it was feasible to get a CEL from moisture in the sensors when I degreased the bay. I understand the other way works too, but thats not the right way to to do it. And the joke is not ON me, the joke IS you.
