there's an airtool for that.. man i cant remember what its called. i watched my friend use it the other day to take the pinstripe off of his car in like 3 seconds. did a clean job too.

You can get pinstripe remover from the auto parts store also, but I'd try aheat gun first, gently heat along the pinstripe and peel or scrape it off, then use some mild adhesive remover like goo-gone... Be gentle with the heat, it's easy to do, don't stay in one spot, make sweeping motions...
The rubber wheel is called an eraser wheel (I think), I've never had the balls to use one but they supposedly work really well, you should be able to get that from a paint or auto body supply place. That should be able to be put onto a common drill and used...

you just put them on a drill and it takes them off ina breeze.
The chances of burning through the clear coat is very slim unless you sit there for 5 minutes in one spot. Just becarfull if you have had your car painted before..

I'd probably find someone to borrow one from, it isn't worth the $$ for just a one time job. People use them for paint stripping and shrinking stuff, you should be abel to get one at a hardware store for about $50 and up..
