DA w/B20 YS1 tranny wont go into gear
alright i had a A1 LS trans in my 91 DA but i felt like i was being robbed of torque with the long gears...i bought a fresh YS1 with 80k...when i took the LS trans out everything was going good until i went to put the clutch in the YS1...i forgot the slines on the LS were thinner then the YS1...so i bought a YS1 clutch from the dude down the road hoping it would work...the clutch fit the splines perfect...so i bolted the trans up and started it up...the car wouldnt go into gear...i checked the clutch cable where it bolts to the arm on the trans....the arm on the trans is up to far like its staying in gaged ...the clutch i put in was decent had a lot of life left...i dont know if the pressure late is messed up and not allowing it to go into gear....someone told me i might have to cut the rubber bushing on the clutch cable to allow it to drop lower? if you know what can help or have had this problem please let me know what i can do....Thanks...if you want to make some money come by and get it to go into gear without changing the clutch!! hahaha ...thanks

THE CABLE IS MAXED OUT...BUT IT IS STILL TO HIGH...IT IS ADJUSTED ALL THE WAY....DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO BUT PUT IT IN THE SHOP. THANKS MAN

Are you 100% sure you tightened down the flywheel bolts and clutch bolts?
A friends flywheel bolt back out and his car had a hard time going into gear. Or was it the clutch bolt.... lol.

unhook the cable all together...see where the arm sits, might help discover the problem. Clutch disc in the right way? I had put a clutch in a single cam before and they gave me the wrong disc and it would not release, the center around the splines were to big and the throwout bearing would press on it causing it not to release. Just giving you suggestions.

im clueless....i unhooked the cable and adjusted all the way so when i hooked it up it would allow the arm to go down....still nothing...it feels like the clutch pedal is hitting a brick...clutch pedal is crazy stiff...? im lost ...made arrangements to get it done right through a shop
