D16y8 swapping to a B18C..questions??
I have a 97 civic sedan dx 5 speed, i was thinking about swapping the D16y8 motor for a integra B18C or just a LS B18. I was wondering if the axles motor and trans will line up exactly with the motor mounts and wheels???are all honda and acura motors and trans made to fit perfectly in anymodel of the same year?? any info or feedback would be greatly appreciated! ive seen cars like mine with a b18 in it,, but was was looking at my axles and wondering if everything will line up Thanks for you time and feedback, Ryan. all responds will be greatly appriciated!!!!

Do some research, this is the most popular Honda topic on the internet. Not trying to blow you off, but there are entire sites that are dedicated knowledge bases for swap information, including how-to instructions.

You will need b series shift linkage and axles as well as a tranny mount and rear mount are different
It's the easiest swap ever man you should use the harness in your car you will just have to extend some wires
Just do a quick google search and you will find every thing you need

Re: D16y8 swapping to a B18C..questions??
Location? I'll help you if you're local so you don't fuck anything up... The axles will fit into the hubs, make sure you buy the driver side axle specific to the year/make/model of the half shaft you have purchased. The rear mount you'll use will be a 99-00 Civic Si mount. All the other mounts off your d-series should bolt up just fine, with possibly the exception of transmission mount. You will need to purchase a 99-00 Si bracket for your transmission. The wire harness should be fine the way it is. The ECU will need to be changed over to handle the new motor. The shift linkage will be from a 94-01 Acura Integra (any trim level will do). You will need to get b-series header or stock exhaust manifold.
