Default d15y7 head swap

wat has to be done for a d15y8 head to swap it on to a d15y7....i know u have to drill some wholes and prolly tap the oil pan for vtec...but idk...help appreciated...thx

you mean d16y8 and d16y7? and its way easier than anything that you have listed. pretty much just swap the heads and wire up the vtec and change the ecu.

you only need to drill and tap on the dual cams cuz the ls block doesnt have a oil passage to the vtec solenoid unlike the single cams. its simple just get a 96 and up head gasket cuz its metal not cork. and bolt it on.

u do have to remove the oil screw thingie in the middle of the block cant remember what its called

that is true on the 1.5 and a few of the 1.6...they are oil restrictors
