91 honda civic sedan. motor is a d15b2. driving today all of a sudden the car had no power... steadily died even if i gave it more gas. pulled over check some things got back in started up and it was fine. bout a mile down the road same thing happened. and when it dies it shakes violently and almost felt as if i were applying the brakes it slowed down so fast.... drove the rest of the way home fine... Only thing i could think of was distributor or something along the lines of ignition.

Could be the pickup in the distributor, could be fuel dropping out for some reason, could be a lot of things. No offense, but thats a pretty vague description on the symptoms... need a little more to help you out.
