Default CYP / Code 9 Problems

Hey guys i am having a problem that i can not seem to find the answer to any where. I have a 93 civic with a poor mans type r that is constantly throwing a CYP or #9 code and i can not nail down the problem. I have fallowed the trouble tree on another site, and everything is fine. but ill go through a list of what i have done.

The sensor side of the dizzy plug all of the sensors are reading 405ohm's
None of the sensors are grounding out on this side of the plug
there is continuity for all of the wires going to the ecm and none of the wires have a ground when unplugged from the ecm.
The only time i get a ground is when the plug B is in the ecm.

Now i have swapped this ecm into a car that was not throwing any codes and it did not throw any with mine in there.
I put a working ecm into my car and it through the same codes instantly.
i have replaced plug B
I am on the third brand new dizzy

if anyone has any ideas all help is welcome.

Where did the distributor come from? Is it OBD1 or OBD2?

This is going to be something really simple. You know the ECU works, and you know the distributor is good I'm assuming. So the only things it could be are a wire fault or the wrong pinout if you have a OBD2 distributor with an OBD1 harness or something like that. They're VR (variable reluctance) sensors, so they aren't powered, so that's not an issue. Each sensor is only connected by two wires, and one of those two wires is connected to sensor ground inside the ECU. There isn't a hell of a lot that can actually go wrong.

the dizzy came from a shop that is close to me and this is the 3rd one that i have put on this car all of which are not throwing codes on other cars, it is a obd1 dizzy so that should not be a problem, so im assuming that the only problem could come from the wires and i have attempted to bypass this problem by running new wires, so the only thing i can think of is that the wires are pinned wrong and switched and that's why its throwing the code. so i guess the only plan i can think of is to switch the wires tomorrow and clear the code and hope for the best

Google the distributor pinout and use that to check your harness.

ive done that, and i have checked it a few times, but the fun thing is today i went to take the cap of to just check everything in there, and the rotor fell out and the screw was sitting at the bottom of the case, and then the cyp sensor is cracked in half so i think its just time for a new dizzy

yeah, you're right, it's time for a new dizzy. I remember have the CYP code. I also had the factory service manual too. Unfort, the whole dizzy has to be replaced. If you don't have the FSM, i suggest you download it.
