Lightbulb cyclone engine question

i was told by one of my friends that u cannot put a cyclone engine (4g6c3) in a 3rd gen dsm (1995-1999) only a 2nd gen dsm.

but i was lookin at my bro's engine bay (2nd gen dsm) and my engine bay(3rd gen dsm) and it looks exactly the same so if ne knows the truth about mountin a cyclone in a 1995-1999 eclipse plz let me know

95-99 is a 2g, not a 1g and yes it will work as long as it is a gst or gsx.

im sure you can do it...it'd be just like swapping a 1g 6-bolt into a 2nd gen...

90-94 = 1st gen
95-99 = 2nd gen
00+ = 3rd gen(not really "dsm", but same shit)
