Default Cv axles or broken motor mount?

I know there is a number of things that can be wrong with my car, but I tried to narrow it down myself to those 2 things, and I actually think it is the cv axles, heres the problem: My car shakes hardcore when im driving it at mid to higher speeds...and also when i slow down to a stop i hear a ticking sound....The reason i do not think it is a motor mount is because In first gear I can redline it and the car will not shake, it only happens when it goes faster(ie. it shakes LESS at 7200 rpms in 1st then it does at say 3000 rpms in 5th) I have tried revving the car in neutral and the engine doesnt seem to shake too much more than it should...any suggestions before I bring it to the shop?

I am just asking this because my mounts are under a warranty, but I am in doubt that they are the problem

I'd check the tires/wheels/brakes for alignment and uneven wear first.
