Cool crappy dyno results...

td05 18g
650cc
255 lph
front mount
exhaust
utec
arp headstuds
20 psi

i went to dyno inc. to have my car tuned and my first pull i put down 175 hp. that seems pretty shitty to me. they got the hp and tq up to 210. does anyone think that sucks? my turbo lags alot more then it should and i wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what i can do or look at.

thanks

That specific dyno is not what you probably are thinking of as standard. Dyno Inc has a mustang dyno which is way different than a dynojet which you may be used to. Dyno jet cannot be tampered with and calculates/measures everything automatically. Mustang dynos have extra variables that will affect the numbers that are put out. They also have a totally different method of measurement. the numbers can't really be held to any standard, only good for a start vs finish measurement. sounds like they did a good job pulling 35whp out of it. Put it on a dynojet to see what kinda numbers it makes on there

i thought those numbers seemed kinda low for the amount of things i have done to my car. dyno inc said a stock wrx puts down about 180 on that dyno. thats what im basing everything on.

If it makes you feel any better I only made 334whp on a fully built ls with a GT35r on 14 psi?

go to the track and see what you trap...much better indicator on performance than dyno numbers.

Its not the difference in cars it can tell. It's the way it measures power. Didn't you even read the first reply? Well anyways these numbers do seem a little low since i have riden in this car multiple times. We were atleast expecting 275 out of it. Would the fact that it has 98k on it be a factor?
