A couple turbo questions
I am putting my turbo on my D16y8 Civic ex 1999 and am looking to run it at around 8 psi w/stock internals would this be a good psi I could run driving this car daily. And what can I do to tune this car decent with out going somewhere and paying to have this done someone please help me out thanks.

first off,dont just go off of PSI. The size and A/R of the turbo is the most important factor of how much boost you CAN run,and how much you SHOULD run. if you have a small dinky T3 turbo..you could probably get away with running 10-14 psi daily. A T3/T4,maybe 7-12. But in the same sense,it all depends on how much wear and tear your honda engine has seen,and who tunes the car. Your car will not be a daily driver,without some sort of Tune. If you are gonna dump the money to boost it,you need to dump the money to get it tuned. You can learn to tune yourself,to save money,or you can take it to someone,and have a base tune. OR you can get one of those chipped ecu's online,and take your chances with those. As most of them have base maps,from cars with similiar setups you are about to do.

1. turbo size is more important,not psi.
2. spend your money to get the car tuned,and not just on parts.
