Corrosion on wiring?

Corrosion on wiring?
So there is some corrosion on my battery terminal and also corrosion on the fuel pump relay. It is causing the relay to not work and the car will cut off. Any idears? It's an 03 Mazda 6

For the relay I would recomend cleaning it with an electrical contact cleaner and usinge some white lithium grease on the conector. As for the battery I would recomend using a wires brush and cleaning the terminals the use some anti corrosion pads and possably a spray.

Scotch Brite works great for that, don't get the stuff that's meant for cleaning dishes though because it often comes with soap on it. Lithium grease is a good idea, but use it sparingly. Also check the connections that mate with the relay and inspect for corrosion. I understand the battery corrosion, but why is your fuel pump relay corroded? Is Mazda stupid and not using sealed relay connection systems like the big boys?
