Default headlight repair?

I just bought a lexus sc400 and theres alot of water in the headlights. is there a way to repair the headlights without messing them up? i know there was a guy on here before that used to paint these things but can't find his thread any more. please respond.

Open it up. Depending on type of headlight and seal throw it in the oven for 5-10 minutes to melt seal and open it up then reseal.

If the moisture is on the inside you have to open the headlights, dry em out and clean them, and seal em up good no matter what. But as for the yellowing/fogginess on the outside...

Wetsand with 1000 grit sandpaper throroughly making sure you don't miss any spots. Repeat w/ 1500 grit. Then polish thoroughly with Meguairs Plasticx plastic polish (I think thats the full name, if not than its close. When I did my headlamps I did it 5 coats per headlight. Then, use any wax and put several layers, I again did 5 layers. I was excessive because many people that do this have their headlights fog up within a few months, but mine still look great after 7 months.

No problem, its a few hour process but well worth it, Id imagine those headlights are expensive brand new

if you're going to seal them back up i'd reccomend a good bead of Ultra Black Permatex. Not a big bead but one that'll seal completely. Some people also use the Clear Flowable silicone. It's not as messy but doesn't hold up as well.
