Column shifter is loose?
The column shifter on the beater (1994 Olds Bravada) has gotten so loose that it won't even turn on the reverse lights unless I hold it up. I thought this would be pretty self explanatory once I got the steering wheel off, but it sure isn't. All I see is a completely blocked off column. How do column mounted shifters work?

I did some Google runs and could only find a shit ton of recalls for the shifter for that car, otherwise very little info on it. You might have to find either a Chiltons, Haynes, or factory service manual and take it apart.
