coilovers on a 94 corolla

anyone put coilovers on a corolla, 93-97 ? anything special needed, or can i really just do it in my driveway? i heard whent he cars lifted and you undo the shock bolts n stuff, theres enough room to just drop the strut out without compressing the spring.... im hopin this is all true my coilovers will be here friday if fed-ex doesnt fall behind.

Well yeah, the strut is going to come out without having to compress the spring. You have to compress the spring to get it off, and then place the coilovers over your previous strut assembly. If you've never done it before, it just takes some time and patience, and also a manual spring compressor.

Don't try to remove the stock springs without relieving the tension on them or you might lose some parts or an eyeball.

good luck
