code 43 - fuel supply system - 92 civic lx 4 door

my wife's 92 lx 4 door civic with a jdm d15b non vtec...running the factory d15b7 intake manifold and factory d15b7 ecu is throwing a code 43 (fuel supply system) after it sits and idles for about 10 to 15 minutes...the car runs and drives fine but it idles at like 1,200 with the idling screw all the way in and all the tension removed off the throttle cable...cannot get it to idle properly and notice its using a lot more gas than the usual. not to mention when you go to start it, it starts up instantly when the starter is engaged which is also unusual for a civic. tried replacing the fuel pressure regulator and the pcv valve but still nothing has changed...what else can it be? tired of fucking with it lol so it's time to turn for help.

heres a link to a motor thats in my wifes car...they are hard to find but i found one on ebay as a reference...basicly it's a y7 with all the b7 bolt ons...should be no problem what so ever for a fuel issue unless something is bad. why the dealership bought this motor for the car i have no idea.

just a suggestion but have you tried cleaning your throttle body, may have some carbon buildup

Are you saying that it uses more gas than usual after you take into account the fact its idling high? Or is that why its using so much gas? Check your injectors to see if they are leaking.

i had this code last year and went insane trying to get it cleared...it went away after i bought a new gas cap out of curiosity. true story.

i've done cleaned the throttle body as well, done check the injectors, even took them out and had em cleaned...it is driving me insane. drives check engine free...it only throws the code after it idles for 10 to 15 minutes, and it idles high so whatever is making it throw the code i'm taking it that thats what making it idle high.

your c.e.l code 43 is based off of the o2 sensor. i had this problem in my civic and same thing, went crazy but the cat is part to blame for this.. hav your cat checked and do replace the gas cap..

i guess i'll take the cap off my coupe and try it out. what explains the high idling then?
