Clutch noises suck
I was on my way home yesterday when my transmission started making a whirling or buzzing noise and I could feel a vibration in my clutch pedal. I thought it was the truck behind me but it kept going for a little while then once I pushed my clutch pedal in after stopping at a light it stopped making the noise. I tried to get it to do it again on the way home but I couldn't do it. It's a B16 tranny with a ITR flywheel and stage 3 clutch; about 80,000 miles on it. I have had to replace the master cylinder already.

Re: Clutch noises suck
Hey if you already did your slave cylinder, then at the same time you should of done your throw out bearing and pilot bearing. Or even when you put the new clutch and flywheel on. I always replace these things when doing a swap and or replacing clutch. Just IMO though.

If the noise goes away when u push the chutch in it is most likley in the tranny. The bearings go bad in that tranny. It stops spinning when u disengage it therefor no more noise. Check your fluid level. Hope this info helps.
