The clutch on my lude is pretty much done for. I plan to have someone replace it this weekend or early next week. But the problem I'm having is my cars leaking clutch fluid somewhere. After about 6 hours I have to bleed the clutch because it looses all power. After about 3 bottles of clutch fluid i got tired of bleeding it and parked the car. What could be the problem besides the clutch. Someone told me it could be the clutch master cylinder, but i wanted to see what you guys thought. If it is the master cyl. how do i check? It doesn't look like it's leaking from the reservoir. I want to fix it before I find someone to install the clutch to save money and gain knowledge. All help would be appreciated..

Check your slave cylinder. Your on the side of the trany. If it's gone bad you can go to advanced or what not to get a replacement. I'm betting your slave cyclinder went bad. It's about 50 bucks...

Will look into it. Is there a way to verify it or find out without ripping it out.

if the slave cylinder is leaking, (should be towards the front end)
of the engine bay, on the side of the tranny. if its leaking you should
see the clutch/ brake fluid dripping out of it when theres fluid in
the resivoir. have someone pump the clutch while you watch.

also there should be like a rubber cover ..over where the slave
cylinder is, check if that has beein ripped of if theres an opening
on it. which would cause fluid to come out.

I just got done ripping out the cmc. I'll porbaly install the new one later tonight. Now i need a new clutch pedal pin

if your not seeing fluid on the ground than it was/is probably the master cylinder leaking inside the car behind the car carpet. Very common issue

After i bleed the clutch and drove it to make sure it was tight the next morning sometimes there would be a circle of something on the ground and the resivor was empty. The inside firewall was a little wet but im not sure from what. If it was leaking outside would that be the slave?

Maybe. 2 things to check outside.

1. slave
2. rubber hose connected to the slave cylinder.

Those are the only 2 places to check.

Easiest way to check this. Get a friend or a really talented dog to press the clutch down while you slide under the hood to check the slave cylinder. Everything you need to replace is on the outside of the trani. In plain sight.
