ENGINE DEGREASER, wow that one should have been easy to figure out, or use purple power, or brake cleaner, or kerosene..... take it to a machine shop disassembled and have them acid dip it,

I think he's looking for brands, etc.. What else is on the market for products besides Purple Power?

I just use simple green and spray away on low pressure..... cover the battery terminals.....

I used 50/50 mix of simple green and water... spray it on avoiding the alternator and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Then hit it with running water. Then fire the car up to let it dry.

I wouldn't use Simple Green (google search for Hydrogen Embrittlement). I would use a good purpose-built citrus degreaser. Wurth makes a good one. As does P21S. I have more of the P21S than I will ever use. If you are willing to come up here to Williamsburg, you're welcome to use it. Word of warning: it's safer because it needs elbow grease.

I do the same, i wait to let the engine bay drive before i turn anything not to upset the sensors.
