Civic Idle Air Control Valve & manifold Question?? Need Helpp Please
I put a 99 civic ex engine into a 96 civic. Problem is the longblock was automatic and I put a manual tranny so now the car idles funny. Jumps from 1000 to 1500 nonstop when car is stopped. I wanna know if I could use a 92-95 civic intake manifold from a manual car ??? And also does it matter if its from a ex or dx? I know I needa change to a manual manifold because the IAC valve plug from a automatic is different from a manual and right now my 96 harness isn't pluggin into it

not a honda mechanic but i doubt the iacv plug is different from a manual to auto
- i'd use the longblock out of the 99 and a intake manifold with all the sensors that match the 96.
didnt the 92-95 have side mounted TB where as the 96+ have the weird top mounted tb?

Only some civics came with the throttle body ontop.
And yes automatic iac valves are different from manual

The 99 00 civic ex head and intake manifolf is different than a 92 95. There are holes on the intake manifold right above the injectors. I believe it will not match properly. I could be wrong.
I would get a wire manual harness IAC plug and wire it in to the auto harness.
