The plug that plugs into the speed sensor, I have seen those build up with corrosion and not get a solid contact for all 3 wires. I have sprayed a contact cleaner in the plug and compressed air blew it out and started working again. If its not the plug nor the cluster, are you getting any cel's ?

contacts have been cleaned and the new vss connects very good i have tried back probing for voltagefrom the vss while spinning the front left wheel and it is pulsing voltage but im not getting a pulse to ~5volts its something like ~.85 im not sure about the check when it says battery voltage but on the hot side i read ~8 volts. no the car has a f20b dohc but i am running the stock pt3 right now because i cannot get the p13 to work but thats another story. i just need to get the odometer working then i can worry about wiring the for the p13 , and yes i have checked cb7tuner.com, to check and see what they have to say about the issue and went through all of the checks as seen here http://techauto.awardspace.com/vss.html and i still cannot get the thing to work if anyone knows or has experience with this model pm me please i can pay to have it fixed
