Default Catalytic Converter

Say you're exhaust exits right behind the cat.

Say you're on the highway cruising at about 120mph for ~10 minutes.

Say you lose spark because your coil wire pops off.

Would all of the air and fuel being pumped into the catalytic converter (due to the lack of combustion and the engine at about 5000rpm) cause it to break apart and shoot out of the rear of your car in glowing orange chunks, about the size of grapes?

Nothing sucks.. the car's running fine.. I just don't know what the fuck flew out from underneath my car and that seems like a logical explination.. I just don't know if it 'could' actually happen..

I'm not down with my catalytic converter technology.

Throw it in the trash, shoot fire from your exhaust, and call yourself cool.

I can't - it's aimed at my gas tank which leaks.

Who wants to go for a ride with me?
