carbon fiber lip install
ohk i got my carbon fiber lip in, only thing is i've gotta drill holes in the ends. how do i go about drilling holes into carbon fiber? should i heat it up? is there a big risk of cracking it when i begin to drill? anybody who has experience putting hoodpins in or installing their carbon fiber lip please let me know i wanna put this thing on today thanks.

If the carbon is substantially thick, a nice sharp drill bit will work great, with gentle pressure.. If the carbon is thin, or rather flexible (depending if they used junk resin) a dremel tool is the best way to go. If the carbon is thick it should drill like plastic, it's nice...
I don't know what size holes you're going to be drilling, but if it's larger than about 1/8", I would use a dremel for safety... The big flutes on a large drill bit will grab and splinter your nice new lip.. Just use your judgement on that one..
The first thing to do, which will also help to mark the holes, is to put masking tape where you are going to drill. The tape will help keep splintering down, and also make a protective shield if the drill bit skitters, etc.. You can also take a marker or whatever and precisely locate the holes on the tape too..
Be careful, and try very hard not to breathe any of the dust, because it will never leave your lungs and can cause nice respiratory problems..
