Car starting Problem 1998 Saturn SL2
well here is the jist of the problem. Recently my cousin has had an issue with his car starting. It will start with a jump but not by the battery. Now automatically we assumed battery and bought a new one right away, but it only fixed the problem for one day after. I checked the battery with a voltmeter and it is reading 12.34V not running and 14.39 when running. I cleaned the main ground wire and there is no corrosion on any wire... anyone have an idea of what this could be? thanks in advance!

What's the voltage while cranking? Have you done a draw test yet? Your new battery might have been killed do to a draw. Also look at the cables, both ends, and see if they are corroded.

Time to start looking at voltage drops while trying to start it. You probably need a new cable. A voltmeter will tell you everything you need to know. If its a digital multimeter, it measures differential voltage so you can measure voltage between different ground points, etc...
