car does not sound right..just replaced timing belt
I just recently replaced the timing belt on my car and for some reason it doesn't sound right when I start it up...it seems to run really rough and doesn't sound the way it should...i have adjusted the timing here and there and it doesn't seem to help it to much....anybody have any ideas ......thanks Gary

turn the crank counterclockwise until both cam gear arrows point up and also the lines on the sides of each cam gear is parallel with the head. then check to make sure the timing pointer on the belt cover is in the center of the white mark on the crank pulley.
then you will know if its alligned correctly.
ps. did you put the spark plug wires back on correctly?

when you take off your valve cover there is two little holes (5mm). that means that the cams are aligned. then turn your crank pulley so it aligns with the mark. i think it is around 10 o clock. then reinstall your timing belt. do not turn your crank over a turn. just take it off and align them where they are started at.
