can i run ITR pistons in a ls/vtec block stock bore?

im thinking about stock itr pistons in an ls/vtec....what do yall think?

no the head is not milled and i didnt plan on it, and should I advance timing or not? Either way i want to know if its too high comp for ls/vtec

You can safely run those pistons on 93 octane. And yes you may end up advancing the timing.

One thing a lot of people forget, is that JDM p30 pistons yield about 11.5:1 compression on an LS/VTEC and have a flat top. The flat top of the piston allows the flame to travel a greater distance at a faster speed. The result is a more complete burn of all the fuel in the cylinder equallying more power.

Don't let the big dome of CTR/ITR pistons mislead you. Sometimes smaller is better. In this case, on a street engine, p30's would be perfect.

p30 came from obd1 jdm b16s and usdm b16a3's from the 1994-95 del sol dohc vtecs

what about putting my b16 head on a gsr block? is that better than ls/vtec, and whats all involved with plumbing on the "poor mans type-r"?
