Built b20vtec , which intake manifold is best??
I currently have a b20vtec build as follows:
12.5:1 compression
Eagle rods
Gsr head
Super tech valve train
The car put down 206whp on a set of skunk 2 pro 1 cams and a 2.5in exhaust and skunk 2 intake manifold
The new setup includes:
3in vibrant exhaust
Toda spec D cams
Question is what intake manifold would make the best power on my new setup? Was looking at the Performer x manifold with the 9in runners, also was looking at possibly running ITB manifold, any feedback is appreciated, just trying to get the most out of my NA build. thanks!

I think you're on the right track, from the builds Ive seen over the years that edelbrock manifold seems to be the one of choice to make more power without going to ITB's.

what more impatient said, but you should run the itb's i say that cause i have some for sale lol.
is your head port and polished? cause the gains youll see wont be much more with the performer x than the skunk2.

Just run itb's, in all honesty any off the shelf mass produced intake manifold is going to net the same horsepower gains.
Get something like bisimoto or some shit that's made for a direct all motor purpose and not something that's made for all applications.

That's really an argument to use a manifold instead of ITBs. If the gains are the same, and a manifold doesn't have any of the ITB tuning issues related to very erratic throttle plate vacuum signal and the other downsides, I'd choose a manifold any day of the week.

This is all a matter of what the vehicle is being used for though, if it's a street car and every now and then track car I say I with the victor x but if its a pure track car I would go ITBs.
