Bubbles coming from where Tranny mates with engine (Pics)
HMM, I just noticed this today. For the past few days ive noticed theres a bit of an oil trail on my transmission/bottom of my block. Sort of near where the Oil pressure switch is on my JDM B16. So today while the car was hot, I opened the hood and this was what I observed:
After having wiped the oil off, it returned. So i suppose I have a constant leak. Anyway, Between where the Transmission (maybe clutch housing?) mates up to the engine, there are bubbles coming out of it. Looks like oil. Its right next to the b16 stamp. Is this some sort of gasket which needs to be replaced or what?

There is no gasket right there...
Thats really weird cause there shouldnt be any oil right there. Meaning there should be no oil on the inside where the tranny meets to the block. How does you're Clutch feel???

clutch feels ok. I do have a small leak in my headgasket near the location in question. I guess it is possible that oil is leaking down to it, but it still goesnt explain the bubbles, as that would mean air is escaping from right there?

the clutch and flywheel spinning in there will create a small amount of pressure, possibly enough to create the bubbles you are seeing

use some brake cleaner when the engine is cold and clean all the oil off, run it until it starts to leak again. see if you can find out where its leaking from, repeat until located...if you're that worried?

Well see thats the thing. I did. Its coming from (if your standing in front of the car looking into the bay) from the left hand side, basically where the left front edge of the headgasket is near the vtec sollenoid. I replaced it about 4 months ago, maybe 3 1/2. The problem went away for about a week-2 weeks, and then was back in full force? What could be the issue here.

Head could be warped??? Did you resurface the head when you replaced the headgasket.....?
