Brakes
Whats up guys, i'm helping my brother change his brake pads on a ep3. I've always just used a c-clamp to push the piston back. I cant budge the piston on my brothers caliper at all. I've pulled the whole caliper off now and have it in a vice but i feel like i'm going to break something. should i need to put that much force on it or is there something i'm forgetting to do?

Let me guess, are these the rear calipers? if so you DO NOT press them in, you TURN the piston in. There is a X pattern on the piston you need to find a big Flathead looking screwdriver to turn it. Crowbar should do it

If you feel like you're going to break something, you probably are. Calipers that simply slide back into place take almost no force when there isn't any brake line pressure, so that obviously isn't the type of caliper you have.
