When i step on the brake pedal it goes all the way to the floor but if i pump it while stopping it builds up pressure. I was thinking either master cylinder or one of the wheel cylinders in the back. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Maybe one of the rear steel lines going to the drum busted......i had two that did that to me......adjust the rear brakes as well...and see if you still got fluid

well they were working fine until i went to a shop to get state inspection. He was bleeding the brakes and when he was done they started doing this.

he bled them wrong, you have air in the system

Just going to say that. It's not difficult to bleed the brakes correctly, grab a friend or family member, have them hold an empty bottle and you bleed the brakes.

Nope i figured out the problem. It was the passenger side rear wheel cylinder. I took the wheel off and theres brake fluid all over everything.

so i replaced the wheel cylinder with a new one. I started bleeding the brakes and the new one blows out and starts shootin fluid all over. Any ideas? Im thinking that the brake pads arent aligned right?

id say take it back to the shop that did it. He may have adjusted them too far out (depending on the thickness of your rear pads) to where the wheel cylinders are busting.

I didnt take it to a shop, i did it myself. I found out the problem. Since this was the first time i ever messed with drum brakes i forgot to put the drum back on before i bled them and it pushed the pistons in the cylinder out too far. I pushed it back in and replaced the black rubber sealer. Good as new.
