Exclamation brake question???????/

95 integra , i have had this car for right over a year and this is the third time ive had brake issues, the rears were changed when i got the car, and maybe 5 months later they were to the metal on the outer pad on one side, so the next time i replaced both rear rotors, and pads. Test drive and the side i was having issues with seizes up, and gets the rotor red hot, so i let it cool check it and its the slide pin, i had to heat the braket with a torch and twist the pin out. I cleaned out both side, regreased them and now there fine....for now.

the fronts ive changed the pads twice throughout the year, and now while im driving it gets really loud grinding. I just checked the brakes a month ago and they were still new, now its the right side outer pad, bare metal, but the inside pad is near perfect. I checked the pins, and all the lines, everything is perfect, im stumped is this normall for cheap oem pads, or is this a little excessive.

this is the inside pad next to the new one

this is the outter next to new one

I had a similar problem. Adjust your brake booster so the rod isn't so far into the master cylinder. It's probably not letting off once you hit the brakes. I just spaced out the master cylinder with some washers and it never messed up again.

if the inside pad wears more than the outer, or visa versa, you need new calipers.

True. Possibly sticking. They probably are pretty old.

I'd say prob original. If you have the money while your there bleed all that crap out of the lines and put in stainless steel braided lines.

i already bled all the fluid and replaced not to long ago, well i figured it was just normall for the age of the parts, im guessing its all original too....well if i sell the car ill just replace all the rotors and pads which i already purchased, if i dont ill save up and just upgrade.

Hows the type r brakes? Basically the same or any better id rather do that then get an aftermarket brand, id rather take the whole hub for the 5lug too.

that may work out too....when it screwed up i could hear it grind when not on the brakes and more if the wheel turned to that side as well. You can see in the picture of the pad in the middle theres a dip where its like something got between it and the rotor, im guessing its just trash from the pad itself just collected there..
